Getting Started

Three steps take you from a fresh install to your first firing solution: set up a profile for your rifle, add a location and target, then open Results. The Getting started card on the Home screen walks you through them.

Three steps take you from a fresh install to your first firing solution. The Getting started card on the Home screen walks you through them.

1. Create a rifle profile

A profile describes one rifle-and-scope setup: muzzle velocity, zero range, sight height, barrel twist, the projectile it shoots, and the scope on top.

  • From Home, tap New Profile (or open Profiles from the drawer).
  • Pick a discipline (airgun, rimfire, centrefire hunting, long range, F-Class, PRS…): it sets sensible defaults and the default widget layout.
  • Attach a projectile from the built-in library, or create your own. See Profiles and Projectiles.

2. Add a shooting location

A location is a place you shoot: its maximum range, table step, altitude and atmospheric conditions. See Locations & Targets.

3. Add a target

A target is a specific shot within a location: its distance, any slope, and (for long range) the firing direction used for Coriolis.

You can skip this. With no target the app solves a bare range instead: set the distance from Quick Settings and read the solution off the same widgets.

Calculate

With a profile, location and target active, tap Calculate on Home to open Results: a customisable dashboard of widgets showing drop, wind drift, DOPE and more. See Results & Layouts.

Everything you set up is saved automatically and reused next time. There is no Save button to hunt for; edits persist as you make them.
