Usage

Velocity: the muzzle velocity (fps or m/s).
Projectile Weight: the bullet or pellet mass (gr or g).
Energy Output Unit: ft·lb or J, for the answer.

The Muzzle Energy figure updates as you type, and reads — until both inputs are valid. Switching a unit converts the value you already entered rather than reinterpreting the digits.

Notes

Nothing here is saved, and nothing reads your profiles: it is a scratchpad, like the Convertor. To see energy carried downrange instead of at the muzzle, put the Energy column on your DOPE Card or plot it on the Trajectory Chart.
The maths is the standard ½mv², so the answer is only as good as the velocity you feed it. Chronograph the load if the figure matters; see Importing Data.
