Drop
Your elevation correction at a glance, in MOA, mrad, inches, mm or turret clicks. Tracks the active target and updates live as conditions change. Tap the unit tag to cycle through formats.
dopeology is built around a fully customisable widget screen. Drag and resize any widget, and press and hold one to open it full-screen. Widgets have simple and detailed displays, so the bigger you make one, the more it tells you. Here’s what each one does.
Your elevation correction at a glance, in MOA, mrad, inches, mm or turret clicks. Tracks the active target and updates live as conditions change. Tap the unit tag to cycle through formats.
The windage correction at the active range. Read it as a low/high band across your wind-speed range, so you can bracket the call, or as a single figure when you work from one wind value or a live meter reading. Larger sizes add the wind direction and spin drift.
A full trajectory table at the current wind settings: the card you’d tape to a stock. Choose the columns and units, step by range or list one row per target, and tap a row to make it the range every other widget shows. Rows where the bullet goes transonic or subsonic are tinted.
Temporary “what if” overrides for range, muzzle velocity, slope and powder temperature, without editing your profile. Tweak, watch every widget update, then let it go. The Coriolis, spin drift and aerodynamic jump switches live in the full Quick Settings sheet.
Sets the wind speed and direction used by every wind-dependent solve. Drag the dial, anchored to your target’s line of sight, set a low/high speed band or a single speed, and every other widget recalculates in real time.
Drives the wind from a connected Calypso ultrasonic or WeatherFlow WEATHERmeter. Manual, capture and live modes write into the same wind state as Wind Input, so the dial and every wind-dependent solve follow along.
On-page shot entry for the active session. Each shot pre-fills with the calculated dope; adjust the actual drop and windage, tap to record, and build a history that feeds the truing table.
Estimate range by bracketing the kill zone, or any known-size target, in your reticle. Inverse MIL or MOA ranging done for you, on the line.
A slim dropdown of the current location’s targets. Pick one and it becomes the active target, the one every other widget solves and displays for.
A summary of every target at the active location with distance, elevation and windage corrections. Sort by range or name, or follow a saved firing order for stage-style engagements.
A plan view of the firing point with every target pinned at its range and bearing. Switch between a forward arc and a full circle, and tap a target to make it active and see its elevation and wind holds.
Your reticle, drawn with the point of impact and wind band at the active range. It knows your scope’s reticle, focal plane and magnification, and has working zoom and turrets: dial until the impact meets the crosshair and you have your solution. It can also draw a known-size target, or label the holds on the reticle.
A live plot of wind speed over time from a connected Calypso ultrasonic or WeatherFlow WEATHERmeter, with direction and the session’s minimum and maximum. Record it as a wind session alongside your shooting session.
A fully configurable XY chart of the solved trajectory. Plot drop, velocity, Mach, energy, wind drift or spin drift against range or time of flight. Plotting velocity or Mach shades the transonic band, and the drop view can mark your near and far zeros.
A face-on view of the target at the active range with the predicted point of impact plotted on it, so you can see where the shot lands relative to your aim and how far off it is.
Velocity per shot for the active session, as a chart or a table, with chronograph readings flagged among your manual entries. Average, ES and SD sit underneath, and shots streaming in over Bluetooth land on the chart as you fire them.
The point-blank range and danger space for a given vital-zone size. See the range band over which you can hold dead-on and still hit the vital zone. Set the vital-zone height and the corridor is drawn for you.
Photograph your target in the Group Analyser, mark your point of aim and each shot, and see your group size. Export an image of the result to share, and save the group against the profile, target or load it belongs to. This widget then shows the latest group for the active target, with its size, SD, shot count and range.
The drag coefficient against Mach number for the active drag model. A vertical marker shows where the bullet currently sits on the curve, useful for comparing models or checking transonic behaviour.
Predicted vs measured drop from your logged shots, target by target: range, predicted drop, measured drop and the difference. See how well the solve matches reality, then tap Calibrate to fit your BC to the same session in the BC Calibrator.
A scoring target you tap to mark shots, with running totals fed to the shot log. Choose the scoring system and target face, plot each shot, and track your string score.
A practice drill timer with a random start beep, par time and shot splits. Record splits by tapping or with the microphone shot detector, calibrated per firearm, and teach it the sound of a dry-fire click so it ignores the rest. It can also run on a paired watch.
Runs one of your saved PRS stages against the clock: a random prep window, then each build, move and engagement with its range and holds on screen. Advance on the clock, on shots fired or at your own pace, then review the time each step took. The whole stage can run on a paired watch.
