Impact View

A face-on view of the target at the active range, with the predicted point of impact plotted on it, so you can see where the shot lands relative to your aim and how far off it is.

Usage

• Add from the palette. Read-only; reflects the active solve and the current wind settings.
• The target outline is sized from the active target’s real width × height, and drawn in its shape (circle / square / diamond).
• Configurable (gear): override the outline shape. By default it follows the target’s saved shape (“From target”); size always comes from the target.
• Raw elevation toggle (bottom): off by default, so the view is wind-focused. It assumes elevation is dialled out and shows only the crosswind’s vertical kick (aerodynamic jump). Turn it on to plot the full drop hold as well.

Output

• The target outline centred on the aim point, with a crosshair through the centre.
• The predicted point of impact as an orange dot. When a low/high wind bracket is set, two dots joined by a thin dashed line show the wind band.
• A round-number scale (cm metric / inches imperial) on both axes so the size of the adjustment is legible, plus the total miss distance in the header.
• Both axes use the same linear unit, so the picture is geometrically faithful.
