Wind Drift

The windage correction at the active range — either a low/high band, or one figure when you work from a single wind value.

Usage

• Add from the palette; reads the wind speed and direction set in Wind Input.
• The header tag shows the windage unit and the wind speeds in play — the low–high range, or a single speed when the two agree.

Configurable

The gear exposes two settings:

• Wind input — how wind is entered, app-wide:
  • High / Low (default) — a low and a high wind estimate, read as a band.
  • Single — one wind speed, read as one correction. This is the same setting as Wind input in the profile’s Units section (see Settings & Units); changing it here also changes what Wind Input asks for.
• Readout — the shape of this widget’s display (High / Low only; Single wind has no band to shape):
  • High / Low (default) — the low/high band.
  • Live — one adjustment, for when a meter feeds one live wind value (see Wind Meter LIVE mode).

Output

• High / Low readout — HIGH and LOW drift rows, each with its wind speed and a left/right correction indicator.
• Live readout (also used whenever Wind input is Single) — the figure over its hold direction, laid out like Drop: 4.2 above RIGHT ▶. A pure head- or tailwind shows —.
• Footer (detailed size): wind direction, the band centre value, and the spin drift (with L/R side).
